"Chicken Soup"
Just listed this on Etsy. This is one of my favorite designs in the "Prim Cookin" Collection. I think the best part of creating this design was going to the Flea Market to find an old enamel pot to put her in. I'm planning to hit some garage sales tomorrow..hope I find some old vintage goodies to use in my "Prim Cookin" Collection.

Here Kitty Kitty
I just finished a custom order for an Etsy buyer... She wanted a custom cat pillow that looked like her cat Georgie. This is the first cat that I have made that is orange and I love how it turned out. Sandra also sells on Etsy and has some really neat things in her shop... be sure to check it out....http://etsy.com/shop/hummingbirdministry

Great Finds...What To Do With Them?
One of my favorite things to do is to search the Thrift Stores and Flea Markets for old vintage pieces that I can incorporate into my designs. I found this old rusty oil can last summer at a flea market... I had to have it... I got the guy down to a great price but I still haven't figured out what I want to do with it. Some other favorite finds are old enamel pots, cast iron skillets, old metal funnels, old strainers and old amber glass jugs.
Check back soon and see what I come up with!

Primitive Pig
Just listed this Pig on my Etsy Shop.
I made him from muslin, painted him and handstitched PIG on him. I added a homespun heart, buttons for eyes and a rusty bell was attached at his neck.
He is about 8 inches tall and 10 inches wide and he is attached to 2 wooden spools...so he sits nicely.
